Hand Camp:

A three day event for participants to learn new crafts and skills outdoors in a beautiful picturesque environment. Students and instructors will be camping together at the Avon Hills Folk School in Avon, MN. Last year was out first year for this event and it was a great success. Students and instructors created some really great projects and everyone left with new skills and completed creations. We are in the process of lining up classes and instructors, and it will again be an amazing experience!

This entry level class is designed to introduce the classic techniques of hand-sewing with leather. Students are able to choose from a mix of projects that demonstrate the basics of working with leather including cutting, punching, hand sewing, riveting, snap setting, finishing and care. Students will be guided through the process from hide to finished product – leaving the class with their very own, handmade, leather product.

Materials included: Various colors of vegetable tanned leather, brass or nickel hardware and linen thread.

All tools provided for student use.

This class is offered as a half day class in the morning or afternoon. All day class can be arranged  for larger projects for an additional fee.
